“The 2010 Mutt Strut has attracted 500 more registered participants than last year. We have more than 2,000 participants today and the walk-ins have not been counted,” said Patti Mercer, president of Houston SPCA. Through the generosity of SPCA supporters and Mutt Strut participants more than $150,000 has been raised. The proceeds from the Mutt Strut and Runway Race bring together many SPCA rescue animals and their owners, and provides for animals in need of adoption.
