Junior golfers trade clubs for shovels at Redstone Golf Club

Despite the rain, more than 100 young golfers gathered at The First Tee of Grater Houston facility to make environmental improvements to the David Shindeidecker Campus at the Redstone Golf Club in Humble. With the help of FedEx and Shell volunteers and Audubon International the youngsters took part in the FedExCup Fore!Ever program by planting Texas native grasses, bluebonnets, shrubs and trees.
“FedEx, Audubon International and First Tee have partnered in developing and making eco-friendly improvements to golf courses throughout the country that host PGA TOUR FedExCup tournaments,” said Joellen Lampan of Audubon International. This event was held in conjunction with the PGA TOUR leading up to the Shell Houston Open which will take place April 1-4, 2010.
